Dr. Toshima Karki is a general surgeon who served as a lecturer at Patan Academy of Health Sciences and an elected executive member of the Nepal Medical Council before entering politics. She was first elected to the House of Representatives from Lalitpur-3 in the 2022 Nepalese general election on the Rastriya Swatantra Party ticket, later serving as Minister of State for Health and Population, and was re-elected in 2026 with a landslide victory of 43,096 votes. Known for advocating against violence towards medical professionals and for health system improvements, she is a central committee member of RSP.
