Swarnim Wagle is a prominent Nepalese economist and politician who served over 25 years in international development, including as Chief Economic Advisor at UNDP Regional Bureau for Asia-Pacific and Vice-Chair of Nepal's National Planning Commission. He chairs the Institute for Integrated Development Studies and co-edited 'The Great Upheaval' (Cambridge University Press, 2022). Elected as RSP MP from Tanahun-1 in the 2023 by-election and reelected in the 2026 general election, he currently serves as vice-chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party.
