Bharat Prasad Parajuli is a social activist and hydropower entrepreneur who began his career leading drinking water projects in drought-affected villages of Sindhupalchok since 2055 BS and served as General Secretary of the Integrated Rural Development and Environmental Conservation Forum. With over 20 years in the hydropower sector, he chairs the 45 MW Brahmayani Khola Hydropower Project, employing over 200 locals, and is a Central Committee Member of the Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal (IPPAN). A first-time parliamentarian, he won the 2026 House of Representatives seat from Sindhupalchok-1 on the Rastriya Swatantra Party ticket, defeating incumbent Madhav Sapkota by securing 24,412 votes.
