Ananda Bahadur Chand

Biography

Ananda Bahadur Chand is an assistant professor at Tribhuvan University and chairperson of Boston International College with a background in public health advocacy, research in natural products chemistry, and prior roles including chairperson of Nepal Food Corporation. He won the 2026 House of Representatives election from Kailali-5 as a Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate, securing 31,953 votes against rivals from Nepali Congress and others. A scientist who has presented papers internationally and completed professional courses from Johns Hopkins and others, he emphasizes integrating health, education, and technology in his political vision.
